Your First Visit at TrueSmiles Dental
Your first appointment focuses on understanding your oral health, addressing your concerns, and helping you achieve your smile goals.
Whether you're new to our practice or returning to dental care after some time, we'll make sure your experience is thorough, informative, and free of pressure.
Before You Arrive
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early and bring:
- Photo ID
- Your current insurance card, if applicable
- A current medication list
- Recent dental records or X-rays, if available
Comprehensive Examination
Your visit includes a complete evaluation to assess your oral health and identify concerns before they become larger problems.
Health History Review
We'll review your medical history, medications, and dental concerns to ensure safe, personalized care.
Digital X-Rays (If Needed)
Digital imaging helps us detect issues that may not be visible during a routine examination, using significantly less radiation than traditional X-rays.
Oral Examination
Dr. Masud will evaluate your teeth, gums, bite, jaw function, and oral tissues for signs of decay, gum disease, oral cancer, and other concerns.
Treatment Discussion
We'll review our findings, answer your questions, and discuss treatment options in clear, easy-to-understand language.
Professional Cleaning
If appropriate, your first visit may include a professional cleaning. If additional treatment is needed first, we'll explain your options and next steps.
Appointment Length
Most new-patient visits take 60-90 minutes, allowing plenty of time for a thorough evaluation and discussion.
