Meet Dr. Nour Masud, DDS, MS

Dr. Nour Masud is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she earned both her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) with Thesis Honors and her Master of Science in Oral Sciences. She holds board certification in General Dentistry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral Medicine and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
With over 20 years of clinical, hospital-based, and academic experience, Dr. Masud brings specialized expertise in comprehensive restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, implant dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, and emergency care. She is also subspecialized in the treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD) and orofacial pain.
Professional Background
Dr. Masud served as the Assistant Director of the General Practice Residency Program at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) from 2008 to 2013. In this role, she mentored and trained dental residents while providing care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings—including special-needs, medically complex, and mentally challenged patients.
Her clinical background includes significant experience with oral diagnosis, oral pathology, oral medicine, TMD, orofacial pain, oral lesions, and sleep-disordered breathing. She has advanced training in managing medically complex patients, including those undergoing oncology treatment, organ transplant, and anticoagulation therapy.
Dr. Masud also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Connecticut Health Center, where she supervised dental students in diagnosis, treatment planning, and comprehensive care.
